VII     EXECUTIVE SESSION
         To conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with nonunion personnel or to conduct collective bargaining sessions or contract negotiations with nonunion personnel; and
To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares;

Hanson Food Pantry new hours are Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The Food Pantry is located at 228 High Street.  For more information please contact Sharon Kennedy at 781-447-4344

There are vacancies on the Finance Committee, Conservation Commission,  Board of Appeals and Historical Commission.  If you are interested in serving on either committee, please complete an application for appointment and return it to the Selectmen’s office.  Applications are available on line at www.hanson-ma.gov  Citizen library/volunteer employment opportunities.

Whitman & Hanson Dollars for Scholars will be celebrating the 8th Annual “A Taste of Whitman and Hanson” on Thursday, March 5, at the VFW Post #697 in Whitman from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Up to two dozen local restaurants and food service providers will be offering samples from their menu to the general public.

Tickets are $15 each with limited capacity. Ticket are available at Duval’s Pharmacy, Ford’s Insurance, Sandy’s Coffee Corner and the Town Clerk’s Offices in Whitman and Hanson. A list of participating restaurants will also be available at that time. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Dollars for Scholars in the form of scholarships at Awards Night.  For more information, please contact Michael Ganshirt at 781-252-9683.

Please join us on~March 8th from 11:30-2:00 for the sixth annual~Pizza Bowl being held at the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Restaurants from around the area will compete for bragging rights foer the best pizza. Attendees will get to vote for their favorite cheese, meat, veggie, children's or house specialty pizza. We will have an appearance from a local mascot and games and activities for the kids.~ All for $6.~ Kids under 5 receive a free slice of pizza.~ Proceeds from this event will benefit the Whitman-Hanson Music Association and Rockland-Hanson Rotary.

5 years; 2 Constables – 3 years; Trustee of Memorial Field – 3 years; 2 Trustees of Public Library – 3 years; Whitman-Hanson Regional School District Committee PreK-12 – 3 years;   2 Water Commissioners – 3 years; Water Commissioner – 1 year.
